Who We Are
The Colorado Homeowners Mobilization and Education (HOME) Alliance is a not-for-profit grassroots organization dedicated to educating Colorado's citizens on the issues affecting their legal and constitutional rights to enjoy and protect their homes and property. By making home and property owners aware of new and existing challenges to their legal rights, we give our members the education and advocacy opportunity and tools necessary to effectively protect their investment.
HOME Alliance membership is always free to individual home and property owners. While contributions are always welcome, the purpose of HOME's efforts are to provide a no-cost opportunity for Colorado's citizens to stay abreast of the issues and battles directly effecting their homes and property.

Our Promise
As the name denotes, HOME Alliance's efforts focus on educating our membership and then providing the support strategies and opportunities to help property owners be an effective lobbying and persuasive force on the local and statewide political scene.
Provide Education
Colorado HOME Alliance provides education to its members about changes in local ordinances, state laws and proposed changes in the legislative and executive branch of government that directly affect our membership. Through analysis of national trends and education about constantly changing local initiatives, we keep our members up-to-date and aware of their rights and threats to those rights.
HOME Alliance also tracks developments in other areas, including mortgage fraud, homebuilding developments and warranty issues that effect our members.
HOME's educational initiatives include:
- The Rights Guardian: Our quarterly newsletter which explores different issues effecting citizens of Colorado and trends in other states that have impact on Colorado.
- HOME Regional Educational Seminars: These educational symposiums bring together decision makers, policy analysts, elected officials, industry representatives, legal experts and media professionals to discuss the most pressing issues affecting home and property ownership.
- HOME Legislative Hotline: HOME constantly monitors current and proposed legislative action and its effect on our membership. As warranted by political circumstances, HOME issues special hotline bulletins about about emerging issues that are of concern to our membership.
- HOME Newsroom : Working with other consumer groups across the country, HOME provides an ongoing stream of news reports from Colorado and across the nation. Members have the option of reading a short synopsis or clicking on a link to read the entire article. The Newsroom is updated multiple times during the week.

HOME Issue Alert: More and more consumers are threatened by fast-moving threats to their well-being. Being educated and aware of these issues is the first line of defense for all Colorado home and property owners. Issues HOME currently track include: Mortgage Fraud, Identity Theft, Changes in the Homebuilder industry and Home Warranty problems.
- Direct lobbying: Through meetings with elected officials HOME educates legislators and local elected officials about issues important to our membership. Ensuring that our voice is heard, HOME monitors activities along a broad cross-section of political venues and is fast becoming a resource for elected officials to use when contemplating future legislative and administrative changes.
Advocacy and Action
HOME monitors the political climate and is an important resource for elected officials to use when contemplating future legislative, and administrative policy changes. However, we believe education is only part of the battle. Increased education creates the mandate to put that knowledge into action. HOME Alliance encourages our members to become actively involved in fighting for their rights.
We seek out and create opportunities for our members’ voices to be heard on issues. HOME Alliance members take the battle of property owners rights directly to the public.
- Testifying at the Legislative hearings at the Colorado General Assembly
- Keeping our issues in front of traditional news sources (i.e. newspapers, television) through letters to the editor and personal meetings with reporters
- Influencing the opinions of our friends and neighbors through petition-drives and solid grassroots
